A Glimpse Into Our Morning Routine...

Each morning begins at first light, marking the start of the milking routine. As the sun rises, the gentle mooing of the cows can be heard, eager for their turn. The milking equipment is carefully set up, making sure everything is clean and ready. Two by two, the cows are led to the milking stanchions, where the vacuum softly hums.

During milking, each cow is given a non-GMO, soy-free, whole grain. This serves as a treat for the cows and ensures they receive adequate nutrition.

Following milking, the collected milk goes through several essential steps before it is delivered to each customer. Each half-gallon jar of milk is:

  • Filtered: This step removes impurities from the milk, ensuring its quality and safety for consumption.

  • Bottled: After filtering, the milk is poured into bottles, which are sealed to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.

  • Chilled: The bottled milk is then cooled in a deep freeze ice water bath, preserving its flavor and nutritional value until it reaches consumers.

This daily routine not only provides us with farm fresh raw milk but also strengthens the connection between me and the animals, capturing the essence of farm life.
